Slopes Vize

This is my Slopes Vize.  I made it at Perfect North slopes in the lodge while my bro was snowboarding.  I saw a photo of a friend with a hat similar to this... with the cobblestone texture.  I thought it looked fabulous on her and it turns out she was borrowing it.  So, I made this for her.  The yarn color is "coffee bean" which is significant because we met at a coffee shop!  The yarn was imported from Nepal and is made of 60% wool (a blend of Himalayan goat fiber and New Zealand sheep wool) and 40% recycled silk from Asian sari remnants.  The sari remnants create the specs of color throughout.

  1. I have been looking for a warm hat to make my son who is 20. This look masculine enough that I think he would wear it. You did a really nice job; is this your own pattern?

This morning I am working on a hat with attached scarf for my niece, she has a pink and brown coat so I use the color expresso and I love it...going to trim/border in pink. I love the coffee/brown colors.

  2. This is fabulous!

I stumbled across your blog whilst looking for a crochet pattern for a half pipe hat (I don't knit!). I really like your designs.

    Just saying:)
